What's inside

Pages 2–5

Feelings Peekaboo

Flip each Velcro circle to reveal an animal and its emotion — 30 emotions across two spreads. Each spread ends with a mirror page, so your child can mimic the expression they just found.

Pages 6–9

Feelings Around Me

A Velcro matching activity — pair each animal with its opposite emotion (12 pairs total, the same emotion pairs used in Memory Match).

Pages 10–13

Many Faces, Many Feelings

Build a facial expression using Velcro eyes, eyebrows and mouth pieces, cycling one character through several different emotions.

Pages 14–15

Where Do I Feel It?

A body-emotion connection activity. Place Velcro cards on the body: a heart for positive feelings, a bandage for painful ones, a burst for intense ones.

Pages 18–19

My Feelings Toolkit

Match a feeling to a coping strategy, across two characters. Arya the Ant: Angry → Deep Breaths, Grumpy → Big Stomps, Hungry → Have a Snack. Sol the Sloth: Sad → Talk it Out, Anxious → Press Palms, Overwhelmed → Gentle Squeeze.

Pages 19–22

How Would You Feel?

Four short scenarios. Your child chooses how the character might feel from four emotion cards — there are no wrong answers.

Pages 23–24

How Can You Help?

Two scenarios about taking turns and sharing. Your child ranks three kind responses in the order they'd try them — every option offered is a kind one.

Pages 28–29

Emotion Explorer

A reward page. Your child earns a sticker for completing an activity, or for showing real-life emotional intelligence you notice yourself — stuck onto a double-decker bus as they go.

Suggested answers

The book's own philosophy: there are no wrong answers here. These are the intended answers if you want them — but the conversation matters more than getting it "right."

A friend gave Lumi the Llama a flower — how does Lumi feel?Happy
There's a big thunderstorm — how does Scout the Squirrel feel?Scared

Conversation prompts

This book explores emotions, moods and feelings broadly — including physical states like Tired or Hungry. Use these as a springboard to help your child notice and name what's happening in their own body and mind, not just the "big" emotions.

The book calls its reward page "Emotion Explorer" — earn these in the busy book, and in real life. The eight stickers are:

For showing kindness
For managing a big feeling
For sharing or taking turns
For sharing or taking turns
For helping someone feel better
For naming a feeling out loud
For understanding others
